“The inspiration to a new work you cannot predict where or when it comes. It can be a shadow on the bus, a face on a photo, a sentence on the radio, landscape – or it just comes to you when brushing your teeth, shouting “Let me out!”.
I am an autodidact contemporary artist working with acrylic and mixed media.
I am born in Stockholm, Sweden, by Danish parents and moved to Copenhagen at the age of 9.
Welcome to my homepage and my painting universe…
I get my inspiration from multiple sources and impressions, being it political trends and the urge to make a statement over to contrasts and moods.
Most of my works have a figurative touch, but over the years I have experimented with several isms, e.g. abstract painting, surrealism, graphic, and am always open to challenge my curiosity.
The series #ICANs are f.inst. inspired by the Russians icons and thorough studies were made in order to compose an icon with my own twist. (see under ‘#ICANS’ in the portfolio).
